Ah! Music books are wonderful things!

Music books can include much more than can be discussed by any one person or in one short or lengthy article. Music text books supply students with concepts and knowledge not found in other kinds of music books. Music books provide the music student with a course of study on one artist or composer, or information for learning to play an instrument, such as a guitar. Piano methods, Broadway plays, movie soundtrack information, and music trivia can be found and be discussed in music books. Music books can discuss music genres as groups, as individual subjects, for individual instruments, or for full symphony orchestras.

Music development and music history is presented in music books. Various musical instruments can be explored in music books. Music books covering a genre of music, orchestras, and rock groups are in book form. Interested people can read musicians’ biographies or study voice and music theory in music books.

Parents may wish to start music instruction at home with their small children, at which time they may wish to study instructional materials to learn teaching methods for tykes on the piano or wind instruments. Sheet music for all people at all ages, even picture books for the small learners, comes in music books, and music books and song books for the singers among us abound.

Music books also come in audio form, video form, and on CDs, CD-ROMs, and DVDs for teaching and learning all about music and the music business. Songwriting, arranging, recording, music theory, performance theory, and creating sound can be learned from various forms of music books. Music books can provide lessons for playing guitars, synthesizers, keyboards, drums, percussion instruments, string instruments, brass instruments, woodwind instruments, and harmonicas.
