A little tidbit about Classic Rock Music...

What is classic rock? Originating during the late 1960s and 1970s, classic rock music was initially known as "progressive rock." WYSP-FM, a radio station in Philadelphia, coined the phrase "classic rock" in 1981. Similar to "oldies" music, classic rock is retro music from popular rock artists of the 1960s, 1970s, and more recently, some music from the 1980s.

• Classic rock band, the Allman Brothers were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1995.
• Classic rock band, The Bay City Rollers are known to have sold over 100 million albums.
• Classic rock recording artist, David Bowie transformed his image by touring as "Ziggy Stardust" during the early 1970s.
• Classic rock artist, Eric Clapton has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame not only once, but two times!
